All songs written, composed, sung, played, recorded and mixed by The Bus Kings inside their humble shuttle-bus-home on a Zoom H6 into Garageband. This is a homespun experience and the first of mare to come!

Pieces

PIECES ~ Sometimes two people are so close they are like one person...

Perhaps this is called “enmeshment”. It can be beautiful, but also painful as you push away to find

where you and the other person actually start and end... the process can feel like you are breaking

to “pieces”. We have felt these growing pains within our relationship together, and that is the place from which we wrote “Pieces”. This song continues to take on new meanings for us and we hope it will be meaningful to you too.

SUPERNATURAL

When people die we believe that their spirit goes to be with God. Many believe that God is EVERYWHERE. Perhaps this is why we see signs that our loved ones are still with us after they pass....because if they have gone to be with God then they are now, also, everywhere. "My sister passed & now I find dimes everywhere...dimes were her thing"... There was this "wish" that floated through our bus window..it reminded us of Daniels sister who'd recently passed...so we started to write this song.

OLD MAN MYSTERY

Most of our songs we both put a lot into... but this particular song, "Old Man Mystery", seemingly fell straight out of the heavens and onto a pad of paper Daniel was holding! I (Josa) went to the market and came back 15 minutes later to find Daniel had written this entire song with all the words & music already composed... it was amazing and mysterious. It happened so fast! I Iove when this happens to Daniel ..to witness his spirit receive music in this way has been a real wonder & blessing.

TITTIES IN THE WIND

We were all alone camping by the Salton Sea...waiting for the full moon to Eclipse. It was exceptionally hot and this night only cooled to about 90 degrees...but thank goodness for the wind that night to counter the aggressive temperature!! ... well ...seeing as we were the only ones around and that the full moon was calling "Josa, it's just you and your husband so take off your shirt and let them *itties out for some air" which inspired this song...when kids are around we say "KITTIES"

Where are THE BUS KINGS coming from?

We are The Bus Kings! Our names are Daniel and Josa (Nice to meet you!). We are married and absolutely LOVE making music together. Music has always been an important element to each of our lives... Daniel was raised in Appalachia, and even his dear mother claims he was born with a guitar in his hands. I (Josa, a native Oregonian) have been singing harmonies since the day I first learned what a song was.

About 3 years ago, music began to move through us as a couple. We finally discovered that we make beautiful harmonies together and also have a knack for writing songs together! Our love for each other and for music continues to grow still everyday. We are TRULY having the time of our lives singing together. We hope you will follow us on this journey, as our spirits and music are woven into the holy fibers of eternity.

OH YEAH AND.... We live and travel full time in a converted shuttle bus. We also enjoy BUSKING (street performing) often. We are The Bus Kings and very naturally, a band. Thanks for catching up with us.
